This is a great tool to help improve your golf swing. The Medicus Junior's Dual Hinged Jumbo Driver has a dual hinge that will break unless you swing the club back smoothly and continue to have consistent tempo throughout your follow through.

Although this particular Medicus is designed for juniors, it is not a club for beginners. If your child has already achieved a certain amount of success and can make consistent contact with the ball, then the Medicus will help him improve his golf swing.

This Medicus consists of a hinge on the shaft of a Jumbo Driver. The concept being that unless you swing the club with good tempo and on plane, the hinge will release and you will not make solid contact with the ball. You may not even make any contact with the ball. With the Medicus, you cannot pick the club up to start your swing (a very common swing flaw.) Instead, to keep the hinge from releasing, you will need to sweep the club back. The Medicus will teach you to use your body more and concentrate on tempo and keeping the club on the correct plane.

They also make a Medicus Junior 5-iron. I like the Jumbo Driver better because it breaks down easier and takes more proficiency than the 5-iron.

These FootJoy Contour series are the most comfortable shoes that I've ever worn. Right out of the box, they feel like they are already broken in. If you have problems with your dogs barking after a round of golf, you will want to give these shoes a try.

These shoes are designed with full-grain waterproof leather uppers and a contoured urethane midsole insert and a contoured ultra-cushioned EVA midsole. What's more is, they come with a two-year waterproof warranty.

It's very rare that I run across a golf shoe that is completely waterproof and also this comfortable. Most fully waterproof shoes are made of stiff leather that takes some time to break in and beat up your feet in the process. This is not the case with these FootJoy Contour shoes. The first time you put them on, they feel like they've already been broken in.

On the down side, I've had problems with these shoes not lasting as long as the aforementioned stiff leather shoes. With these particular shoes, I've had problems with the interior of the shoe wearing out. If this is a concern for you, take a look at Adidas' Fitrx Golf Shoes. These shoes are built to take a beating and are also very comfortable.

"Teed Up Teed me off!" was one of the quotes I've seen about this product.

Uh oh.

It looks like such a great idea, too. The Teed Up Portable Driving Range is a simple ball holder that can handle 45 golf balls, and a mechanism that automatically places the ball on the tee... every time. It even comes with a 7' x 9' net AND a ball shagger to collect the balls and place them back in the setter. Seems like it would work great for someone who (a) didn't want to go the driving range to spend time, money, and gas; or (b) someone who wants to practice, but can't bend down very well due to back issues and the like.

The trouble is, it doesn't seem to work very well. I have researched several reviews for this online, and it appears that even the most successful "teeing rate" was around 50%. Occasionally, it is frustrating to see a great idea for a product with a poor execution of manufacturing.

When attempting to go directly to the source, I could only find a place-holder website advertising that an update was "coming."

Shame. It looks like a winner. Maybe looks can be deceiving.

Really Callaway? Really? Why are we manufacturing these enormous wrap-around sunglasses that look like we just got out of the eye doctor?

David Duval was cool when he wore these. Was. Wore. Past tense, folks. His last real win was in 200,1 for goodness' sake. (Ok, ok, I know he tied for 2nd in 2009's Open and he wore big glasses again -- don't ruin my flow)

These glasses are just flat out ugly. The Callaway H304-GN Hybrid Series Sunglasses almost have a larger name than the glasses themselves. Almost. They sport some sweet specs like Magnesium alloy frame (um, ok) and specially shaped Neox lenses (I'm sorry, what is...) to form an ocular shield. (ah...yeah. Ocular...)

I haven't heard this much balderdash name dropping since Certs tried telling us that we were finally getting more "Retsin" in the mints. (As if we had been hollering for that for years or something.) I'm still not even sure what Retsin is any more than I know what Hybrid, Magnesium alloy, or Neox is. As if some golfer missed his drive to the right and called out, "Stupid glare! If only my shades were made of Magnesium alloy and had Neox lenses to form an ocular shield! And I also wish they were larger than any sunglasses on the planet to enclose my entire face!"

Sorry, Callaway. If I'm going to Duval it and wear sweet shades on the course, I'm going to pick these.

Here's a bare-bones inexpensive shoe by FootJoy. This shoe is comfortable and will get you from point A to point B, but it isn't the most advanced shoe FootJoy has (by far.)

This shoe is made of imitation leather. It's a PVC (poly vinyl chloride). It is soft and water-resistant and has a similar look and feel to leather. In addition, this shoe has "Olympic Last." This is an athletic fit which means it has a full-rounded toe, a fuller fit across the forefoot, and a full instep with a narrower heel.

This GreenJoy has rubber insoles and a rubber outsole with Pulsar Cleats. Pulsar Cleats are the best selling cleats in golf.

I would only recommend this shoe if you are just getting into golf and are not looking to play more than a few rounds a year. Otherwise, take a look at FootJoy's DryJoys. For a little more money, you will get a lot more shoe. DryJoys are made of real leather, not the fake stuff like this shoe. The DryJoy is 100% waterproof with a 2-year waterproof warranty. It is one of the most comfortable shoes on the market and totally worth the extra cost. Give it a try and thank me later.

Ahh, here's the standard FootJoy DryJoy. Isn't it a beautiful shoe? This is a very popular shoe, and for good reason. The DryJoy is an extremely comfortable shoe and protects your foot from all the crud that you can encounter on the golf course.

First, they are called DryJoys for a reason. The DryJoy has Footjoy's "ECL Leather System by Pittards." This is a proprietary waterproofing system constructed with Pittards of England. ECL stands for "Extreme Comfort Leather," and it is 30% softer than previous Footjoy models. What's more is it has a 2-year waterproof warranty.

Another cool feature the DryJoy has is "Laser Last." FootJoy has taken a composite of thousands of digital scans from the FootJoy Laser Fitting system and designed a "full rounded toe character, standard fit across forefoot and instep, with a slightly narrow heel."

Finally, another quality that makes this shoe so comfortable is the full leather lining. The leather linings supply slip resistance and breathability for your foot.

The only drawback to FootJoy shoes is durability. This leather is very soft which makes it very comfortable, but you give up a little longer life span that you get with some of the other brands. If you are interested in a more durable shoe, try the NIKE Mens Air Zoom Elite Golf Shoe. These shoes may not be as soft, but will hold up over the long haul.

Here is a sporty-looking DryJoy. This is a departure from FootJoy's standard saddle-style DryJoy. It's sportier and looks like a running shoe. It's a good-looking shoe.

FootJoys are by far the most comfortable shoe on the market. You will not find a more comfortable shoe that is also 100% waterproof. Unfortunately with the soft leather, these shoes tend to wear a little quicker than other high-end brands. If you are interested in a shoe that has a longer life, take a look at Adidas Golf Fitrx Golf Shoes. They have Adidas' AdiTuff technology on the toe. This is an abrasion-resistant material that protects the toe from wear.

These Adidas Beacon Golf Shoes are some of Adidas' economy golf shoes. You're not paying a lot of money here, and like my grandmother used to say, "You get what you pay for."

This shoe is built for durability. They incorporate Adidas' adiWear technology. This is a non-marking rubber outsole that is resistant to abrasions or scuffing. It gives the shoe a good balance, traction and flexibility in addition to withstanding a beating from the golfer.

In addition, they have Traxion technology. This is a high traction outsole that includes secondary lugs that are strategically shaped and placed to prevent slippage. The Traxion will give you excellent grip on any surface but is still gentle enough not to tear up the green.

That's about it on the technology front. I would recommend these shoes to the twice-a-year golfer who just needs something to get by. Otherwise, I would recommend something that has a little more to it. Take a look at one of my favorites: the Adidas Powerband 2.0. This shoe is higher-end and will cost you more money, but it will keep your feet dry while helping improve your golf swing.

The only thing negative I can say is that the Adidas FitRX Sport will not keep your feet dry in very wet and muddy conditions. If you need a more heavy duty shoe that is 100% waterproof, take a look at the Adidas Golf Fitrx. This is the same shoe with the addition of Adidas' ClimaProof technology.
