Feast your eyes on these new Mizuno irons. I think Mizuno makes the most beautiful irons of all the major club makers. But buyer beware, these clubs are blades designed for exceptional players.

The MP-68 irons are Mizuno's latest and greatest tour quality clubs. It looks to be shaped from the classic MP-33 iron which is extremely popular. However, these irons have the most recent technology packed into this high performance blade. These bad boys have "3D muscle technology" which is the product of computer optimization. This moves the center of gravity location lower and deeper in the face than any other blade Mizuno has ever made. This, in addition, provides the MP-68 to have stronger lofts than previous blades.

The MP-68s have a "patented grain flow forged 1025E pure select mild carbon steel," which gives the club a soft but solid feel. They have modified U-grooves with provide a lot of spin on the ball and give you the ultimate in workability.

Finally, the MP-68s has a rolled leading edge and trailing edge. This gives the iron a better contact with the turf, and the flattened mid-sole gives you more accurate ball striking.

I would certainly recommend these clubs to any low handicapper (if you think you can handle them). However, if you are little intimidated, you might take a look at the MP-58s. This is a very similar design, but with its cavity back design it is more forgiving.

I'm drooling now. Please don't look at me. It's embarrassing. These Mizuno MP-58s are a thing of beauty.

Let me compose myself and explain to you why these clubs are so cool. There's a new trend sweeping the PGA Tour, and that's the move towards cavity back style irons. Up until now, it was believed that if you gave into playing a cavity back iron for forgiveness, you would give up some of your ability to work the ball. With recent research, this is been proven to be inaccurate.

It's the distance between the heel and the toe that is important to workability, not the thickness. The shorter the blade length, the easier it is to control it for draws and fades. It has nothing to do with the back of the club or the thickness.

The Mizuno MP-58 is an improvement on your typical cavity back. Lightweight titanium is centered in the forged club head, pushing the weight outward and thus increasing forgiveness. The big chunk of titanium in the center provides for a more solid ball striking sound.

Although this club is a cavity back, don't be fooled -- it is a players club and designed for low handicappers. If you're looking for a cutting-edge club with forgiveness, workability, and a solid feel -- dive in. Just try not to drool on yourself.

I'm usually not a big fan of these combo starter sets. I'd rather have you spend your money on a couple clubs that are going to be with you a while than a bunch of cheap clubs that you are going to grow out of in 6 months.

However, these Lady Tour Edges aren't a bad deal for a beginner. These clubs are designed to be forgiving of miss hits. The 8 iron, pitching wedge, and sand wedge have large cavity back club faces. The long iron is a #6 hybrid which is much easier to hit than a standard long iron. The driver and five wood have very large club heads with high MOI, and the putter is a mallet style, also with high MOI and a huge sweet spot.

My biggest criticism is these clubs come with a cart bag instead of a light weight carry bag. What's up with that? Is somebody trying to say that ladies don't like to carry their bag? This is very chauvinistic, and I'm going to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau as soon as I finish this review...

If you want to check out another set that I like just as much, but does have the carry/stand bag. Take a look at Top Flite's Lady XL Box Set. This set is cool because it has two hybrids as opposed to the 5 wood that comes with the Tour Edges.

Are you shopping for a good set of golf clubs to get you or a lady in your life a set of golf clubs? These are not a bad choice for the money.

Before we get to the technology of these clubs, let me start by saying that I really like the look of the carry/stand bag. I think the pink and grey is sporty looking, yet feminine. It's a cool look for a lady bag.

Now the good stuff -- let's take a look inside the bag. These clubs were designed for the beginner. It has a big ol' mallet putter with alignment stripes, and the irons are all very large forgiving cavity backs.

My favorites are the two hybrids, the 4H and the 5H. I wish they had hybrids when I was learning the game. These clubs are so easy to swing as compared to the old traditional long irons with the small club head.

Finally, the driver is a big 460CC forged club with a lightweight graphite shaft and weighted especially to help you square the club head. Grip it and rip it with this bad boy; just make sure to give it a test drive on the driving range before you head out to the first tee.

Okay, perhaps that's not what Jack is saying to Arnold. I apologize. I have nothing but the utmost respect for these two masters. This photo was taken at the 1993 Masters. It's a cool photo of the two most recognized golf legends of our time.

This would make a great gift for that golf nerd in your family. If it were me, I'd hang this photo next to a framed rundown of all the Masters champions of their era. Arnold Palmer won it in 1958, 1960, 1962, and 1964. Jack Nicklaus won in 1963, 1965, 1966, 1972, 1975, and most notably in 1986 at the age of 46 -- making him the oldest winner ever.

Make sure you check out another beautiful piece of Master's art: Amen Corner Holes 11, 12, & 13. This would go perfectly next to the Jack and Arnie photo. It's a beautiful depiction of the famous 11th, 12th, and 13th holes that comprise Amen Corner.

Finally, go get a purple sweater like Jack's, and wear it when your friends come by to hang out in your "man cave." Then ask them if it makes you look fat.

I've told you about my golf den... the one that I sit in and smoke my pipe and wax philosophical? Don't believe the rumors that it's really a small closet in my bedroom with one folding chair and a cheap card table.

This is the perfect piece of art to hang in the golf den. It's Amen Corner at Augusta National, the famous 11th, 12th, and 13th holes of the most coveted championship in golf, The Masters. Amen corner actually consists of the second shot at 11, all of the 12th and the tee shot at the 13th. I've played these holes many times in my dreams. I usually go birdie, birdie, eagle.

Over the years Amen Corner has supplied the drama for the Masters. In 1958, Arnold Palmer navigated through this gauntlet with brilliant escapes to beat Ken Venturi , and in 1937 Byron Nelson won after he went birdie, eagle at 12 and 13.

Grab your shag bag and throw it in the back of your Jag! Every serious golfer has a shag bag in the trunk of their car. When you have a shagger full of balls, you don't need anything more than one golf club and an open field.

Some of the best practice sessions I've ever had involved my pitching wedge and my shag bag. I used to live two blocks from the beach in Cocoa Beach, FL. I would take my bag of balls and dump them in the sand and practice my bunker shots. I got pretty deadly with my sand game after that.

I've used this training aid, and I like it. It's a golf club with a fan on the end of it. The fan adds resistance when you swing the club to promote better form and strengthen golf muscles.

Probably the biggest swing flaw most of us amateurs struggle with is manipulating the club with our hands and not turning our body. It's almost impossible to get too "handsy" with this training aid.

I was working with a teaching professional the first time I tried this, and he urged me to really concentrate on taking the tool back in one piece and make a full turn. I could really feel it when I did it correctly, and I was able to increase my swing speed the more I played with it. What's more is, the next day I felt sore in my arms and shoulders from swinging it.

I would recommend this for every level of golfer. Not only is it a great swing aid that will help correct some of your swing flaws and help strengthen your golf muscles, but it's also great for loosening up before a round of golf.

Yuck! This is an ugly putter. "How ugly is it?" you ask. This putter is soooo ugly, when I brought it home, my cat tried to bury it! (Heyoooooo!)

Okay, enough silliness. There is one cool thing about this putter: it's adjustable. The claim to fame of this piece of technology is the "BalanceFit" adjustable weight system which allows you to transfer to three weight ranges: light, medium or heavy. This is cool because you can adjust your putter to the different types of greens that you may come across in your golfing career.

This putter is a mallet style putter that is obviously looks very similar to Odyssey's popular 2-ball putter. I would recommend you look at some of these 2-ball putters by Odyssey before you buy this putter. No, they don't have the adjustable head, but they have some other great qualities which help make it the best-selling putter in golf.

My favorite 2-ball putter is the Odyssey White Hot XG 2-Ball SRT Lined Putter. I love this putter because, along with the two balls on the putter head, it has an additional line for alignment. In addition, Odyssey's White Hot XG line features a multilayer insert with soft elastomer for feel and a truer roll, and a thin outer striking surface infused with urethane.

Try the Odyssey. It's a great putter that your cat wouldn't even think of messing with.

Here's TaylorMade Rossa Core Classic Lambeau putter. It's your classic heel shafted blade design. I'm not big on the huge mallet style putters, but prefer the blade style putter for its feel and feedback. This is a tour quality putter that has a tremendous feel and a traditional look.

The best thing about the putter is TaylorMade's insert. This "Anti-skid Groove System Insert technology features fourteen tightly positioned grooves." This gives the putter a soft feel while promoting a forward spin and smooth roll. When you stoke a putt with this insert, the ball stays on the putter face longer gripping it and causing it to come off rolling instead of jumping off of the face.

This putter is similar to a couple of other putters that I would recommend you take a look at: the Wilson Staff 88 Series Putter and the Odyssey White Hot Tour #1 Putter. I prefer the Odyssey White Hot Tour #1 the best out of the three (including this Lambeau Putter). The Odyssey is cool because it has "tour-tuned" weight ports in the sole which gives the putter the perfect balance and feel.
