It would seem Odyssey invented insert putters. This newest White Ice is the result of soliciting feedback from the tour pros. The pros are looking for responsiveness, resiliency, and consistency, and that is what Odyssey has very effectively constructed.
This W.I. #1 putter has a classic head shape with clean lines and an offset shaft. The insert is multi-layered and has been roughened to create a better sound when stroking through putts with soft golf balls. What's more is the rough texture also increases friction so that the ball is gripped and comes off the face smoothly as opposed to jumping or skidding.
Finally, the insert is very light, saving weight to be placed in the rear of the club and giving the putter a lower center of gravity. And tour-tuned weight ports in the sole are used to balance the putter depending on the shaft length.
I really like this putter, and it's hard to believe that it doesn't sell for a lot more money. This has all the tremendous feel and look of a Scotty Cameron without the high price tag. I would recommend this blade putter for feel putters that use the "open and close the gait" type of stoke.
For a game-improving, mallet-style putter, look for the modified mallet White Ice #7 putter, or the face-balanced White Ice Rossie mallet putter.

Golf is no longer a sport for us dorks and old guys. The LPGA tour is gaining more and more popularity, and the kids are all getting on the bandwagon. No wonder I can never get a tee time. (Of course, I'm just kidding; I think it is a great thing and I would recommend you get your children started as soon as they can walk.)
This Launcher DST Fairway Wood is designed to be light and long. In fact the Mitsubishi Diamana Red shaft is 43-1/2 inches and weighs 64 grams. The clubhead is also very light with its 0.55-millimeter crown. The clubface is oversized and plasma-welded.
Pink is the fashionable color for the ladies today out on the links. Thanks to LPGA Tour pros Natalie Gulbis and Paula Creamer, golf is now cool for the girls. When Tiger Woods first hit the scene, I would see more and more boys out on the driving range at my golf course. But now I am seeing more and more young ladies and they are hard to miss sporting the bright pink and purple colors.
Adjustable clubs are the latest rage and I believe TaylorMade was the first to do it. This TaylorMade R9 has an adjustable hosel that allows you to change the lie and loft angle to eight different settings. This is TaylorMade's FCT (Flight Control Technology) which will give you up to 36 yards of variance. What's more is TaylorMade had done a great job of hiding the adjustable hosel.
I wish I were a girl so I could sport one of these cool Gogie hats. (Did I just say that? I really should save these confessions for my group therapy.)
If there is a better-looking head on a three wood, I haven't seen it yet. This 909 Fairway wood is very pleasing to look down at address with its compact club head, sleek clean lines, and a simple alignment aid. Please keep in mind though, that this club is a players club for mid to low handicappers.
Are you having trouble finding golf clubs that fit you? Here is a great starter set for the petite lady golfer. This has everything you need to walk out to the first tee.
These Scratch Golf wedges have developed a cult following for two reasons: They are very soft and have a different grind to suit every swing type.
Well, isn't this interesting? Mizuno, the king of "Players" clubs, is sticking their big toe in the game improvement department. Let's take a look at what they've come up with.
