Volvik Control Crystal SkyBlue GolfHere's a funky-looking ball. I remember the first time I found one of these transparent Volvik balls in the hazard. It looked so strange, I wasn't sure if it was legal (but it is).

This particular model is sky blue. It looks like ice to me. I'm afraid if I had some of these lying around the house, I might try to put one in my cocktail.

This is another one of those hard distance balls that is trying to appeal to the feel player. Unfortunately, they fail horribly.

Let's take a look: This Volvik Control ball is a two-piece ball with a low compression core. The cover is Surlin, and it has a whopping 492 dimples.

This ball will go far, but is far from having a soft feel. If you want a low cost distance ball that has a little feel and play, check out the Callaway HX Blue. It's a good ball for the money that spins and has a decent feel.

In addition, if you want to take a look at a real quality golf ball, please read my review on the Titleist Pro V1x. This is my top pick for any golf ball. It's a ball that goes very far off the tee, but has a very soft feel from the fairway and around the greens.

This Volvik Control ball definitely has an original look. (Make sure you don't put it in your drink.)
