This is a big ol' mallet style putter from Odyssey. This putter looks like a claw or an ice ax. Just carry it with you the next time you climb a glacier. Then stroke a few putts at the summit.
The putter head is from Odyssey's White Hot XG line. The White Hot XG features a multilayer insert with soft elastomer for feel and a truer roll, and a thin outer striking surface infused with urethane.
The putter head is a large mallet style with weighted alignment wings. The wings raise the MOI and help keep the putter on line.
The best part of this putter is the alignment aid. It has three red dots on the club head for easy alignment. The clubface also has a textured sweet spot to further dial in the best possible impact area.
I would recommend this putter for those golfers who are struggling with short putts. The big mallet with the high MOI will give you more confidence to stroke through and drain these "character builders."
However, I prefer a smaller mallet head for better feel on my long putting. Take a gander at the Odyssey White Hot XG Rossie Putter and the Rife Island Series Barbados Heel Shafted Putter. These putters are smaller and give me a little more feel, but still have the benefit of the high MOI.
Of course, these putters aren't going to help you scale that frozen waterfall. (Sorry.)
