Uh-oh! I think the execs over at Odyssey are reading my blogs. They must be, because a few weeks ago I was complaining about how their 2-ball putters don't have a line on them for an alignment aid. I even talked about how I had tried to draw one on, but the ink bled.
Looks like Odyssey makes exactly was I was asking for. The Odyssey White Hot XG 2-Ball SRT Lined Putter has a beautiful line bisecting the white golf balls on the clubhead. Gee Thanks, Odyssey.
This putter is from Odyssey's White Hot XG line. The White Hot XG features a multilayer insert with soft elastomer for feel and a truer roll, and a thin outer striking surface infused with urethane.
This 2-baller has a "Saturn Ring Weighting" system to give this club an enormous MOI. The body is lightweight milled aluminum for more distribution of the weight to the perimeter of the head.
Of course the claim to fame of the 2-ballers is that the 2-balls help you line up your putts easier. This added with the aforementioned lines make this putter a sharp shooter.
The only negative I can mention here is that I lose some of my feel with these huge mallet putters. I prefer a smaller mallet head for better feel on my long putting. I like the Odyssey White Hot XG Rossie Putter and the Rife Island Series Barbados Heel Shafted Putter. These putters are smaller and give me a little more feel, but still have the benefit of the high MOI.
Thanks again Odyssey and stay tuned -- I have some more suggestions coming.
