The New Nickent 4DX Hybrid with Fujikara Shaft is no exception.

This model features the Tour-inspired 4DX head and is available in a few loft and shaft flex options -- it should be an easy matter to find the right one to fit your game. The head is a fusion of steel and titanium -- somewhat difficult to do from a technology standpoint, but Nickent apparently figured it out. The titanium reduces and shifts the weight of the head for better performance under the conditions normally used for a hybrid. No club should be based on the head design alone, however, as the proper shaft blend is a key component as well. This club is fitted with the Fujikara Level 5ive shaft in Regular flex. Fujikara shafts turn up in a lot of premium golf clubs, and my experience with them has been very good. They are lightweight (which helps to increase distance) with good torsion strength and overall performance. The grip is a standard rubber compound -- adequate for most conditions and players, but nothing really special.

This club has a quality look to it, with a somewhat deep face for a hybrid; there is a lot to it -- a confidence inspiring look. With a smoothly rounded leading edge to work well in the rough, it's equally easy to hit from a tight fairway lie, or off a tee on a long par-3 or short par-4. Bold yet simple graphics in dark green and black on brushed silver round out the look.

Nickent Lady 3DX Ironwood Club | Womens Hybrid Weighted High MOI http://www.zipgolfer.com/nickent-lady-3dx-ironwood-club-womens-hybrid-weighted-high-moi/ http://www.zipgolfer.com/nickent-lady-3dx-ironwood-club-womens-hybrid-weighted-high-moi/#comments Sat, 10 Oct 2009 10:31:37 +0000 Jess http://www.zipgolfer.com/?p=1556 Nickent Lady 3DX Ironwood Club Now I need to be clear. No, I mean really clear. Like crystal, ok? I realize you have seen me hitting from the ladies' tee before, but if I've said it once, I've said it a hundred times:

I'm hitting my second shot!

Leave me alone, and stop with the jokes. Yes, I have mens' clubs. No, I don't hit Pink Lady golf balls. Yes, I'm a member of the men's club. No, I've never played in the Olive Oil tournament. And I'll leave my pants on for the remainder of the hole, thank you very much.

And finally, no -- I've never hit this club. But it is a Nickent, and it does have some nice technology. It really is a perfectly-weighted club. For a hybrid, this Nickent Lady 3DX Ironwood DC boasts one of the most heavily heel/toe weighted clubs I've seen in a long time. This truly adds to the fact that it is very forgiving. It's very close to the same shape as the Tour favorite 3DX Ironwood, but increases the MOI by 25%.

While being weighted for forgiveness, it's not bulky and doesn't look awkward. The hybrid system really allows for a woman golfer to attain as much distance as possible, and still maintain some control. The best part for the ladies? No distance gaps. No more questioning what club the hybrid is supposed to replace.

Now if you'll excuse me, ma'am, I would kindly ask you to step away from the red boxes while I hit my third shot...

Nickent Golf Hybrid Club | Graphite Titanium Brazing 3DX RC http://www.zipgolfer.com/nickent-golf-hybrid-club-graphite-titanium-brazing-3dx-rc/ http://www.zipgolfer.com/nickent-golf-hybrid-club-graphite-titanium-brazing-3dx-rc/#comments Wed, 09 Sep 2009 16:52:40 +0000 Robert http://www.zipgolfer.com/?p=789 Nickent Golf Hybrid Iron Wood Club Adams Golf and Nickent Golf seem to be the kings of hybrids. Adams may have invented hybrids, but Nickent is taking it to the next level. Their claim to fame is their patented Brazing Technology.

Brazing technology is an innovation that fuses steel and titanium without using epoxy. This combined with their tungsten polymer inserts, which move weight to the extreme heel and toe, gives this 3DX RC Hybrid a very high MOI and huge sweet spot.

I like this club. It is very easy to swing and launches the ball high and long out of just about any lie. My favorite thing is: with the tungsten inserts located on the heel and toe, it makes the club extremely steady and it practically swings itself.

The only thing I can say bad about the club is: it doesn't exactly have the workability I look for in a club. If you are looking for a "players" club that you can draw or fade, check out the TaylorMade Rescue TP Hybrid. This is a beautiful hybrid designed for better players.

However, most people are looking at hybrids because they want a forgiving club that will allow for some of those mishits. Nickent and Adams know this, and they are bringing us the best. It's good to be king.

Nickent PIPE Weighted Perimiter Putter | Flare Tip Blade http://www.zipgolfer.com/nickent-pipe-weighted-perimiter-putter-flare-tip-blade/ http://www.zipgolfer.com/nickent-pipe-weighted-perimiter-putter-flare-tip-blade/#comments Mon, 24 Aug 2009 16:36:04 +0000 Robert http://www.zipgolfer.com/?p=458 Nickent PIPE Weighted Perimiter Putter Putters, putters, and more putters... holy cow, there are a lot of putters out there! This one is the Nickent Pipe Putter with a Flare Tip Blade.

This putter interested me because I'm a big fan of the blade style putter, but I will occasionally switch to the mallet style. It looks like Nickent tried to meet me halfway. Hey thanks, Nickent.

PIPE actually stands for Putting Inline Performance Enhancement. This is "a USGA conforming technology that combines three-dimensional capabilities with the most extreme perimeter weighted putter allowed by physics to deliver a club that allows the ball to roll true, straight, and directly where you've aimed." Well, la-tee-dah!

I guess it's actually supposed to be a double meaning, as the "pipe" looking thing affixed to the back end of the blade is also supposed to help you line up your putts.

I like this putter because the pipe section is small and I can still get the feel a blade style putter, but with some of the advantages of a mallet like the high MOI. The three-dimensional pipe on the back is easy to line up directly on the golf ball and stroke through square.

My only beef is: as usual, when club makers give you a "mallet type" putter, they always scrap the line on top. I would still like a line or a dot on top for an additional alignment aid. Is this too much to ask?

Okay, bring on the next putter. I'm ready.

Nickent Graphite Hybrid Iron Club | Tungsten 3DX RC http://www.zipgolfer.com/nickent-graphite-hybrid-iron-club-tungsten-3dx-rc/ http://www.zipgolfer.com/nickent-graphite-hybrid-iron-club-tungsten-3dx-rc/#comments Mon, 17 Aug 2009 16:46:04 +0000 Robert http://www.zipgolfer.com/?p=475 Nickent Graphite Hybrid Iron Club If you are struggling with getting your irons airborne or suffer from inconsistent mishits, I can understand why you are checking out these hybrid irons. These clubs are designed to help you easily get the ball flying high towards the green.

When it comes to hybrids, I usually recommend the Adams A2s as I really like the playability, and Adams invented the hybrid technology. However, I believe Adams has met its match in Nickent.

These 3DX RC Hybrid Irons are a beautiful set of hybrid irons utilizing the latest in technology. Nickent uses two tungsten-polymer inserts that spreads the weight to the extreme heel and toe. This increases stability and increases forgiveness. Thus, you'll find that a number of your mishits still fly in the air towards the target.

The thing I like best about these clubs is the gradual decreasing of the sole width as the clubs get shorter. In other words, the longer and more difficult clubs to hit will have a wider sole, and the shorter irons which are easier to hit will be a lot thinner and look and feel a little more like a typical iron, but still giving you the advantages of the hybrid technology.

There's no reason to fight with those irons if technology can help you improve. Whether you choose Nickent or Adams, I think you're going to like hitting hybrid irons.
