Club Glove has a great reputation of constructing functional, durable products. And this is bag is pretty attractive to boot.

Let's start with the durability. The Club Glove Aficionado IV's fabric is designed and constructed per military specs. I'm not joking! They've specifically adapted this material for Club Glove. (I guess this is for those Navy Seals turned golf pros.)

Although it is durable, it is extremely light. The Club Glove Aficionado, weighing less than five pounds, is easy to hoof around on your back. But this is before you pack it full of all of your junk. And there are plenty of pockets to do so.

It has a huge pocket for your rain suit, a mid-depth gear pocket, and a shallow pocket for those hard-to-grab tees and ball markers. There is a full-size ball pocket and a soft lined pouch for your valuables.

The best thing about the bag is the lumbar pad that hits your back in the right place to add a little bit of support. Plus it has removable shoulder mold pads. And, of course, a invaluable water bottle holder.

Club Glove Travel Bag | Burst Proof Luggage w/ Wheels http://www.zipgolfer.com/club-glove-travel-bag-burst-proof-luggage-w-wheels/ http://www.zipgolfer.com/club-glove-travel-bag-burst-proof-luggage-w-wheels/#comments Sat, 18 Jul 2009 23:47:27 +0000 Jess http://www.zipgolfer.com/?p=37 Club Glove Travel Bag Ok, so I have a friend; I won't tell you his name. He works at an airport; I won't tell you which one. He loads luggage for a living and packs the planes; and yes, I'm sure he hates his job -- especially on the extreme weather days. Well, as I spoke with him the other day and we swapped work stories, he began to tell me how there are times when he and his coworkers... brace yourself... don't really care about the luggage that they hurl into the cargo holds.

I know. Shocker.

Instantly I began to think of how many times my Cobra Graphite Shafts have been rattling around inside my bag with only my goofy snap-on cover to protect them as my friend tossed them beside someone's checked Samsonite suitcase. I don't travel often, but when I do (call me crazy) I find some excuse to bring my sticks. We can't get better if we don't play, right?

So I tried the Club Glove Burst Proof Travel Bag. Bottom line: this is sturdy. It lives up to its name. Immediately obvious is the riveting that surrounds the case, so that at one glance you can tell it's solid. Its handles were easy to grasp and carry -- with a lower reinforced handle that really impressed me. I've tried other bags where they actually didn't include this, and it made it tougher to lift into a trunk (or hurl into a cargo bay.) The wheels are very smooth and easy to roll -- due to the fact that they are actually inline skate wheels instead of the cheap plastic ones. I had plenty of room for my clubs and shoes, plus there were some other pockets I didn't even use.

Here was the kicker: Protection. Lots of it. Thick, foam padding and a nice strap to keep the clubs from clacking around as a group of freezing, underpaid, and overworked cargo loaders hurl my irons and woods around.

My only beef is: the price. I've seen other cases for less, but they were made of cheaper materials. It would be a definite investment. But if you're a frequent traveler, it might save you in the long run. New clubs are spendy. Although, it is always good to keep a good excuse in your back pocket when you shank one into the woods: "Hey, I think they may have damaged my club during my flight. I NEVER hit the ball like this!"

Club Glove Head Covers for Woods, Hybrids, Fairway Clubs http://www.zipgolfer.com/club-glove-head-covers/ http://www.zipgolfer.com/club-glove-head-covers/#comments Wed, 15 Jul 2009 22:28:52 +0000 Jess http://www.zipgolfer.com/?p=27 Club Glove Head CoversYou know what I discovered? I can't be like Tiger. I tried. I tried so very hard. I bought Nike balls. I cupped my hat before I putted. Red shirts on Sundays. I even attempted the fist pump. Still not like him. It seems that it takes more to be great then just to try the same... stuff. I guess it's time to lose my animal club covers, too. For the record, I didn't completely copy him. I tried the lion instead of the tiger cover. Now it just looks sloppy.

I saw these and immediately liked the look. Simple and straightforward. Most important, they're unified. It's not Taylor Made this, Ping that, Floppy Elephant the other. All yellow, all white, all blue, all red, or all black. Very nice. What made it seem more attractive to me is the ability to choose all different types of clubs. From woods to hybrids, to fairway clubs, it's a great selection. The numbers are all large and easy to read, and the brand name doesn't make a production out of itself. I like the look of these. I really do. Value seems to be fair too. I can't really tell what the material is, but it seems sturdy. So now I at least my bag will look clean and my clubs will be protected.

And I can stop trying to have the same stuff as Tiger. Wait... I've got it. All I have to do is swing EXACTLY like him, and I'll be as good as he is! This should be no problem...
