Titleist Mens Driver, Comp 909 D

High Handicap Golf Clubs for Loft, Low Spin

Titleist Mens Driver, Comp 909 D This is Titleist's most forgiving driver. I usually think of Titleist as a player's brand. Their stuff seems to be geared more for the low handicappers. But this big ol' 909 D Comp is designed for you higher handicappers that are looking for a large face that is easy to swing.

The crown is pear-shaped, so it still looks like the traditional tour-shaped design -- but this is where the similarities end. It is made of a low-density composite that enables them to move the center of gravity low. This produces a high ball flight without much spin. And that translates to more distance.

I recommend this driver for higher handicappers that want to play a driver that doesn't look like it was designed for a high handicapper. (Shhh! I won't tell.) If you are looking for a driver that will give you a lot more distance, this one isn't my favorite. I'd have you go with the Ping G15 or the Callaway Big Bertha Diablo. In fact, the Diablo has a draw version that will help you keep the ball going straight or turn it over for even more distance.
