I predict we will see a surge in this company in the coming years.

This Tour Edge XCG-3 hybrid is similar to the XCG-3 driver and fairway wood. Its sole is comprised of a heavy tungsten, which provides the club with a tremendous low center of gravity. This promotes a high launch angle with low spin. This equates to a ball that goes high and long out of any lie.

The sole is then combined with a maraging-steel crown and face which is very strong, extremely hot, and extraordinarily forgiving.

In addition to all this technology, they've also added internal weight pads to give the hybrid an even higher MOI and more stability.

The exotics are a bit higher-priced than average, but I really like their technology and how far the ball flies off of the face.

For you lower handicappers looking for a more workable hybrid, check out the Titleist 909 Hybrid and the Mizuno MP CLK.

I'm a big fan of the design of this club. The shape is traditional. It is the classic pear shape, which makes it look good at address and gives me confidence in my ability to work the ball.

The pear-shaped look is the only thing that is traditional about this fairway wood. I love the flashy branding with the red highlights. I think it looks like a racecar that goes super fast.

The biggest claim to fame is the STR8 Fit technology. The club is adjustable to 32 different positions. Thus, buying this driver is almost like buying 32 drivers. This is four times more than Nike's previous Str8 Fit technology that provided eight different positions.

Finally the combination of the 455 steel and the Split Compression Chamber makes the golf ball jump off of this hot face and go long.

I recommend this club for the lower handicappers, because the shape of the head is more of a player's shape for working and controlling the ball. This is somewhat contradictory, because I believe the matching model in the driver, the Nike Victory Red STR8 Fit Tour Driver, is more versatile and can benefit all players. I would steer higher handicappers towards the Nike SQ Machspeed 3 wood.

However, take a closer look and you'll find some really cool technology.

This fairway wood uses "Starburst" variable face technology that consists of a custom 455 steel face with variable thickness. This increases the C.O.R., which is the trampoline effect of the face. This makes the entire face of the club very hot and allows for off-center hits to still jump off of the face.

The coolest thing about the club is the twin cams. And yes, I'm still talking about a 3 wood, not a 1966 Ford Cortina. The sole has twin cams that move extra weight to the perimeter of the clubhead, which creates a higher MOI.

Finally, the aggressive leading allows the club to pick the golf ball off of tight lies and go in foraging after those tough lies in the rough.

Although the wood looks like it was designed for better players, I think all golfers will appreciate swinging this sweet Srixon Fairway Wood. If you are looking for something bigger and more forgiving, take a look at the Nike SQ Machspeed 3 wood.

If you are checking out this KBS Tour shaft, I will assume you know a few things about club shafts. No spoon feeding here; I will cut right to the chase.

This is a steel shaft designed for better players. It has increased stability to compliment the better swings. KBS has made the center line of the shaft with optimum stability by reducing the mass and radius of each step in equal proportions along the shaft's center line.

The coolest thing about this shaft is KBS did "Moment of Inertia Analysis" to engineer this club shaft. The result is a stable shaft that reduces shaft "interference."

I'm sure you know all about the modern club heads built with high MOI and a low center of gravity. Well, here is the perfect complement: a shaft with a low interference that the pure swinger can appreciate.

I recommend this shaft to low handicappers with good golf swings who want the ideal shaft to complement their swing. This particular KBS has a mid to high bend point.

Listen up, baseball players: the shaft of these clubs were inspired by a baseball bat. Wilson makes the Demarini baseball bat, which is a high-tech bat that is used by 150 college baseball teams including the Oregon State Beavers, who won the College World Series in 2006 and 2007.

This technology fuses the two leading materials in golf clubs today, with graphite at the top (where you grip the club, giving you a better dampened feel and lightweight for increased swing speed) fused with steel at the tip to provide stability and less twisting on off-center hits.

I recommend these clubs to mid to high handicappers that are looking to take strokes off of their game immediately. This is a super, game-improving set of irons that you will be hard-pressed to find anything more advanced from a technology standpoint.

In addition to the cavity back irons (7 through PW), you also get Wilson's Fybrids. These are one of the best lines of hybrids on the market. You may not get as much distance as you get with some of the other hybrids that put a premium on distance, but what you give up on distance, you gain in playability.

Watch out Adams Golf -- here comes Wilson. If you want to compare, take a look at my review of the Adams Idea A7s. These are certainly going to be less expensive, but then again, they aren't made from a baseball bat!

This model is a few years old, but is still a great club. I played these clubs for years before I switched to the Titleist 735CM, which I currently play.

The 690s are a forgiving cavity back, but are forged so they have a very solid feel. The first thing that I noticed when I played these irons is the ball flew higher and landed softer. I also really liked the confidence that I had with a slightly bigger clubface.

However, mishits still don't go that far, and you can really feel it in your hands when you miss the sweet spot. If you are looking for a super game-improving iron, check out the Adams A7s or the Wilson Staff D-FY.

I would recommend these sticks for the middle handicapper that hasn't broken into the single digits yet. You can certainly work the ball with these irons, even though they are a little larger. Once you improve, check out the Titleist 735CMs or the AP-2s.

These are Tommy Armour's Silver Scot Forged Cavity Backs, and they are a great-looking set of golf clubs.

Let's start with the faces. They have a forged cavity back design. The perimeter weighting gives you some forgiveness while the forged clubhead provides a good feel. What's more, the irons having a curved topline throughout the set which gives you more forgiveness for those mishits high on the face. And the faces are not huge and oversized, thus you have the ability to work the ball.

I would recommend these golf clubs to low to mid-range handicappers. As I mentioned, they are forgiving but still take some ball striking consistency to really appreciate the feel and workability of the forged faces.

My favorite thing about the set are the rifle shafts. They come with Precision Rifle Shafts that are frequency matched for each club and they are "flighted" which gives you different trajectories for each iron, thus giving you easier swinging long irons and spot-on short irons.

The one drawback to this set is the grips are too thin. I would have the set re-gripped as soon as I got them out of the box. But don't fret the extra money having them re-gripped, because these clubs are absolute steel.

You have to love Maxfli because they've been around forever and they make products that will allow everyone to play golf, no matter how tight your budget.

This fairway wood has an oversized club head made of steel with a pull face construction. This gives it a high COR. That's fancy golf talk for "trampoline effect" and means the ball will jump off the face like a drop of water on a hot frying pan. It also has a low center of gravity to help you easily launch the ball high and long.

That's about all the good I can say. If you are a novice, this club will work for you, but I would have you look at something with a little better quality and some more advanced technology. One of my favorites is the TaylorMade R9 Fairway Wood. TaylorMade of course is one of the best club makers out there. The TM R9 has an adjustable hosel so you can "taylor" it to your swing. In fact, it has 36 yards of variance.

But I must feature them and give them their "props" for winning the 2009 NCAA Football Championship. If you're a ‘Bama fan, then you'll want to support your team and get this green tool and ball marker. (And you don't have to get Alabama -- you can get any team.)

I like this green tool and marker combo because it has a clip that I can easily hook onto my belt. I'm not a big fan of fishing around in my pocket and trying to find my mark while everybody in my group is waiting for me to putt. And my "jingling" of loose coins has also earned me dirty looks whilst I was trying my darnedest to be forward-thinking and grab my ball marker out of my pocket, while my good buddy was trying to make a putt to win the skin and all my money!

This tool has the antique brass look, and the ball marker is double-sided steel so you don't have to spend extra time trying to line up the correct side.

While we're on markers that are easily accessible, you should check out these Team Effort Alabama Crimson Tide Hat Clip & Ball Markers. They've gained quite a bit of popularity, especially with the lady golfers.

They incorporate an inverted-core technology to expand the sweet spot, giving the irons a bigger and hotter clubface. The cavity back is very traditional looking, and I like the basic teardrop shape.

The 3-through-6 irons have a foam-filled chamber directly behind the clubface, allowing designers to construct a very thin (2.0 millimeter) face that is unsupported for high ball speeds.

My favorite thing about these irons is the stock shafts that TaylorMade constructs them with. It is a 90-gram KBS steel shaft with a progressive-thickness wall. This gives the iron an added stability.

I recommend these irons for mid-to-high handicappers who are looking for a traditional-looking cavity back iron that will give them some forgiveness and extra distance on those mishits.

However, these irons aren't for those players that like to work the ball. For irons that give you a more workability but still some forgiveness, I would recommend the Nike Victory Red Forged Split Cavity Irons. This is a beautiful set of irons designed for better players who still want a forgiving cavity back.
