I like this Marmot Men's PreCip Rain Jacket because it folds up very compact and fits very easily in my golf bag.

If this jacket doesn't keep you dry, nothing will. It is 100-percent seam taped. The reason golfer are going to appreciate this jacket, besides the fact it fits in your bag, is it has a patented Angel-Wing Movement technology. This allows your arms full range of motion, which is obviously essential when swinging the golf club.

The jacket has zippered vents in the underarms and a hood that allows good visibility. Another cool feature that golfers will appreciate (but designed with backpackers in mind) is the slanted chest pockets. These allow access while still wearing your golf bag on your back. Thus, you don't have to set your bag down to go for that granola bar or tissue you have tucked in your shirt.

I would recommend this jacket for all golfers. If you live in a place where it rains frequently like I do, you should buy a full rain suit with pants. I like the Frogg Toggs Pro Action Classic Suit. This is also compact and will fit in your golf bag very nicely.

It's January, and you're golfing in the great Northwest. It's 39 degrees, and it hasn't stopped raining since November. Your shoes are caked in mud. This Weather Company Rain suit is reasonably priced and will do the trick and keep you dry. It's made of 100% nylon. The rain jacket has a zipper with Velcro and a snap storm flap. It is vented so you don't sweat to death, and it has two hidden zipper pockets and two zippered front pockets to keep your tees and ball markers in.

The rain pants have a snap front closure with a zipper. The waist is secured with a draw string and an elastic back. They also have zippered pockets and have a mesh lining down to your knee.

This is a good rain suit, but I prefer the Frogg Toggs Pro Action Classic Suit better. The Frogg Toggs breathes better, and it's also more lightweight and folds up more compact.

I really like this Frogg Toggs Pro Action Rain Suit. This is the tried and true original that outdoorsman have been wearing for years. You golfers are going to love it because it's very light and compact and will fit in your golf bag very easily.

In a good rain suit, I look for two main things: Of course I want it to keep me dry, but I also want it to breathe. It doesn't do me much good if the outside moisture stays out but I drown to death in my own sweat -- gross. This suit fits the bill as it is very breathable and comfortable.

In addition, the suit is not only waterproof, but it's windproof with a retractable hood. I also really like the pass-through pants pockets so I can still get to my green tool and ball marker.

One word to the wise: order one size up, thus you'll have enough room to put it on over your clothes.
