Don't be fooled by the cavity back; this iron still demands a good level of skill. But if you are a mid to low handicapper, you are going to love it.

PGA Tour pro Ryan Palmer swings these irons, and he used them to win the 2010 Sony Open. They are a very handsome iron with a nice combination of workability and forgiveness. The faces are forged cavity backs with a classic blade look. The shafts are a stiff Project X.

The best thing about these irons is the incredible feel. Of course, Titleist is a market leader, and they know how to make good irons. The feel of these are very responsive, and you will really appreciate the feedback you get in your hands when you miss-hit a shot. Conversely, when you hit the ball on the sweet spot… Oh what a feeling!

I would recommend these irons to players with a handicap of 13 or less. You will really appreciate the handsome craftsmanship as well as the tremendous workability and relative forgiveness.

If you aren't quite down to a 13 yet, check out these TaylorMade R9s. It's a more forgiving cavity back designed for mid to high handicappers.
