The first thing that jumps out at you is the dual rail sole. This is designed to get the club moving through the turf with the smallest amount of turf drag regardless of the lie. The face is very hot. It is made with a thin insert to improve ball speed. And the club comes standard with a very light (65 gram) Fujikura Motore shaft which will increase your clubhead speed.

I really like this club, especially for mid to high handicappers. The club is very easy to swing, very forgiving, and the ball jumps off of the face. The rails will help you pick the ball out of the rough.

Imagine you are a couple hundred yards out and sitting in some deep rough. Most of you weekend warriors are going to punch back out into the fairway as opposed to going at it with a 3-iron. With this club in your arsenal, you will be surprised how easy it is to get the ball out of the rough and flying high.

The club comes in 5 lofts. My favorite thing about the club is you can get it in stronger-than-average lofts. Go with the 25 degree or 28 degree.

The round profile and the huge face make this Titleist F2 a lot easier to hit for the mid to high handicappers. You can expect a high launch with medium spin. All of the lofts available are set a half degree higher than the Titleist F3.

Furthermore, the modern rounded shape gives the fairway wood a deep, low center of gravity, which will fill you full of confidence that you can get your golf ball airborne. The F2 is built with a cast stainless steel body that utilizes a "275 Carpenter Steel Face insert." This gives the club a hot face that increases ball speeds. In other words, your ball will jump off of the face and launch high into the air.

I recommend this club for anybody who is struggling with getting their fairway woods up in the air and reaching those par 5s in two. For you lower handicappers that are looking for a more classic-looking head with more playability, go with the Titleist 909 F3.

This Never Compromise has the "suspended face technology." On the face of the insert are five horizontal bars. These bars work like grooves that limit the contact of the golf ball with the putter face. This helps improve feel while promoting a consistent direction and smooth roll off the face and towards your target.

I really love the way the ball rolls off very smoothly with over spin. It has toe weighting -- which helps you keep the face square -- but it still provides a good pendulum feel.

The best thing about this putter is the ability to lag the ball. The bigger the head, typically the worse the feel for lagging, but this putter is one of the best I've tried.

The downside is that there is not a lot of feedback in your hands, and the sound is a bit metallic. For a putter with an exception feel, try the Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2.

The way they accomplish this is with their "9-point Face Technology." Let me explain. (Please turn in your text books to chapter 5.) The 9-point face technology is a rhombus insert surrounded by a titanium perimeter. The titanium perimeter is even thinner then the milled rhombus face insert. This gives the driver increased ball speeds over the entire face of the driver.

The best thing about the driver is the adjustable hosel. You can adjust it to three different face angles: open, neutral, and closed. Thus, set it closed to fix that slice. As you get better, set it back to neutral and let your swing dictate the ball flight.

I like this club for the high handicappers. TaylorMade makes an adjustable driver, the TaylorMade R9 Supertri Driver, that I like even more. It gives you a lot more variance (up to 75 yards). However, the driver is a bit more pricey.

My favorite thing about this putter is the straight lines on the top of the putter head. I always want to look at straight lines when setting up to stroke a putt, and surprisingly, a lot of mallet putters don't provide very good alignment aids. In addition, I really like the soft feel of the insert of this Ray Sigma putter. It's soft, but not too soft as to take away from the responsiveness and feedback I need in my hands.

Finally, when looking at insert mallet putters, I would direct you to look at a few Odyssey putters before making a purchase. I love Odyssey's new White Ice line. The White Ice line was designed using feedback from Tour pros. Take a look at the Odyssey White Ice #7 Putter. It is in the same price range of this putter and has a sweet feel with a very responsive insert.

What's more is the rough texture also increases friction so that the ball is gripped and comes off the face smoothly as opposed to jumping or skidding.

Finally, the White Ice line has a dark nickel finish for a pleasing look that reduces glare. And tour-tuned weight ports in the sole are used to balance the putter depending on the shaft length.

I don't usually putt with these big mallets because I like the feel of a blade putter better for stroking those longer putts. I would recommend the Odyssey White Ice #1 Putter.

However, this #7 putter is the one to go with for making more of those short knee knockers!

I really like this putter, and it's hard to believe that it doesn't sell for a lot more money. This has all the tremendous feel and look of a Scotty Cameron without the high price tag. I would recommend this blade putter for feel putters that use the "open and close the gait" type of stoke.

For a game-improving, mallet-style putter, look for the modified mallet White Ice #7 putter, or the face-balanced White Ice Rossie mallet putter.

The clubhead is pear-shaped titanium 460CC. The tuned sole has pockets and an internal rib to reduce vibration and gives you a solid feel without that awful "tink" sound.

The coolest thing about this club is the SureFit Swingweight Screw which helps position the center of gravity. With numerous combinations, this helps optimize performance for better players.

At address, this is one of the more beautiful clubs to look at. I really like the arrow for alignment on the all-black clubhead. I also like the milled face insert with the thick center section shaped like an upside-down trapezoid. This is designed to help improve off-center hits.

I would recommend this driver for the lower handicappers that aren't too concerned with working the ball. Don't get me wrong -- you can still spin the ball some with this club, but if you really want a driver for working the ball, check out the Titleist 909 D3. It moves the center of gravity farther forward, and the 440CC head is a bit smaller.

CCi stands for Composite Cavity Insert. The cavity back design makes the club a bit more forgiving than the typical blades the pros normally use. The insert enhances the feel, which to most pros' dismay, is lost with a standard cavity back.

In addition, these irons are constructed from 431 stainless steel which is 25% softer than the 17-4 that is more commonly used, and the tungsten weighted sole moves the center of gravity lower, giving these Nike tour quality wedges even more forgiveness.

Finally, the face is milled to give a more consistent distance and minimize shot dispersion.

I would recommend these clubs for any low handicapper. You really are getting the best of both worlds, with a forgiving cavity back type club built into a traditional clean-looking clubface. And workability is not a problem either, as they've thrown away the book that says you have to use a blade to work the ball. This is simply not the case -- workability is all about the distance between the heel and toe, NOT what's behind the clubface.

Before buying these, you might take a look at the Mizuno MP-58 Iron Set 3-PW as well. This is another tour-quality iron with a forgiving cavity back clubface. Just beware, the price of the Mizunos is considerably more than these bargain basement priced Nike CCi's.
