Ah, look at these old beauties. The Ping Zing irons have been around for 30 years now, and yes, they are still very relevant. That's not very common today in a sport where technology makes most of our clubs obsolete in two years. The Ping Zing helped start the super game improvement cavity back craze that has revolutionized golf.
These irons still hold their ground as one of the most forgiving irons you will play. (They also are some of the ugliest.) The rectangular, oversized cavity back leaves a lot to be desired aesthetically. However, high handicappers should get over that very quickly once their golf ball starts flying further and straighter.
I recommend these irons for anybody out there who is looking for a set of forgiving irons to improve your game. Not only will you appreciate how easy these are to swing, but you'll look cool and retro swinging these old school clubs.
If you want something more recent -- from this decade - take a look at the Adams Idea A7 OS Hybrid Iron Set.
