Two of the best golfers that I play with, both bought one of these Ping G10 drivers last year. Joe and Nick are both single digit handicappers, that have very quick swing speeds and they hit the ball a mile.
The two biggest reasons this club is so popular is because of the high MOI and the deep club face. Ping uses a very thin crown pattern which allows them to move weight around giving the driver a low center of gravity for higher launch and lower spin. Everybody knows this equates to longer drives.
In addition Ping built a hot, deep face giving you a tremendous hitting area. The deeper face allows for greater ball speeds on miss hits. The deep face is a dark glossy color with a short hosel and a square looking clubface.
Finally, I really like the TFC 129 shaft which has a progressively increasing weight decreasing torque. It comes in an R (regular), S (Stiff) and X(Extra Stiff). If you swing as fast as my buddies, you better get this in the X shaft.
You don't have to be a single digit handicapper either. I would recommend this driver for all levels of golfers who want to increase their driving distance.
