I'm not a huge fan of these Nike Slingshot irons, although they do have some cool technology. I think the turnoff for me is the "Slingshot" printed on the back of the cavity. It looks kind of "Walmart-ish" to me.
Having said that, if you can get past the look, you might appreciate some of the technology. The set has a very hot, thin face that creates enormous ball speeds off the face. This obviously means more distance. The face is constructed using welding. This allows for one of the thinnest faces in a very forgiving cavity back clubface. Thus the sweet spot is big and the ball flies high quickly after impact.
The best thing about the set is it comes with a 4 hybrid. You will probably end up hitting this club more than all your irons combined. It's very easy to hit off the tee and off the ground.
For a set that is cooler-looking with just as much technology, check out the Callaway Diablo Edge Irons Hybrid Combo Set. I like these because of the cool graphics that definitely don't look like they came from Walmart.
