If you are struggling with getting your irons airborne or suffer from inconsistent mishits, I can understand why you are checking out these hybrid irons. These clubs are designed to help you easily get the ball flying high towards the green.
When it comes to hybrids, I usually recommend the Adams A2s as I really like the playability, and Adams invented the hybrid technology. However, I believe Adams has met its match in Nickent.
These 3DX RC Hybrid Irons are a beautiful set of hybrid irons utilizing the latest in technology. Nickent uses two tungsten-polymer inserts that spreads the weight to the extreme heel and toe. This increases stability and increases forgiveness. Thus, you'll find that a number of your mishits still fly in the air towards the target.
The thing I like best about these clubs is the gradual decreasing of the sole width as the clubs get shorter. In other words, the longer and more difficult clubs to hit will have a wider sole, and the shorter irons which are easier to hit will be a lot thinner and look and feel a little more like a typical iron, but still giving you the advantages of the hybrid technology.
There's no reason to fight with those irons if technology can help you improve. Whether you choose Nickent or Adams, I think you're going to like hitting hybrid irons.
