Never Compromise Golf Putter, BladeThis Never Compromise X Ray Beta "Blade" putter is not exactly a blade. Perhaps they are trying to appeal to us purists who are not quite ready to give up our traditional blades yet. If you are ready, this is a good way to go.

This Never Compromise has the "suspended face technology." On the face of the insert are five horizontal bars. These bars work like grooves that limit the contact of the golf ball with the putter face. This helps improve feel while promoting a consistent direction and smooth roll off the face and towards your target.

I really love the way the ball rolls off very smoothly with over spin. It has toe weighting -- which helps you keep the face square -- but it still provides a good pendulum feel.

The best thing about this putter is the ability to lag the ball. The bigger the head, typically the worse the feel for lagging, but this putter is one of the best I've tried.

The downside is that there is not a lot of feedback in your hands, and the sound is a bit metallic. For a putter with an exception feel, try the Titleist Scotty Cameron Studio Select Newport 2.
