This is an interesting-looking product. I noticed this device last week when I was hanging out at Leonard's Golf. I picked it up and started fanning my buddy Nick with it. (He seemed hot.) That's when Leonard came over and told me to quit screwing around and showed me how to use it. You simply swing the fan as you would a golf club.
One of my major swing flaws that I've always struggled with is picking the club up with my hands to start the back swing. The PowerSwing Fan is designed to prevent that, and it really works. Because of the resistance from the fan blades, it's a lot more difficult to manipulate it with your hands. You really have to get your body involved.
I swung the PowerSwing fan several times, and then picked up a club and tried to mimic the same motion. I definitely made a better starting move and swept the club back as opposed to picking it up.
I like this swing aid, but I'm not sure about spending 50 bucks on it. After the initial use, I got the idea -- and I can't see swinging it every day. Of course, if you are a teacher then this is a great tool to add to your arsenal. Just keep it out of the hands of wise-guys like me who are going to come up with many alternative uses for it.
