Hyland Hills Gold Golf Course near Denver, Colorado

18 Hole Course w/ Clubhouse & Lit Driving Range

Hyland Hills Gold Golf Course nearI've played this golf course many times. The most fun I had on it was while playing our company golf scramble tournament. They took really good care of us, and they were very relaxed about letting the groups hang out around the 18th green as everybody came in. I was in the last group, and I'll never forget hearing the cheers and jeers from the spectators four holes ahead of me. I started getting nervous immediately.

The course is pretty tough, especially if you don't have any local knowledge. The par 5s are pretty wide open, but the course features some really tough, tight par 4s that require some very accurate shot-making. They keep the course in pretty good shape, but it's not as nice as Legacy Ridge up the road.

One interesting idiosyncrasy of the course is that when making the turn, the course doesn't go back to the clubhouse. Instead, it continues a good distance away. However, there is a snack shack strategically placed between 10 and 11 where you can grab a hot dog.

If you aren't up for 18 challenging holes, check out the regulation 9 hole Blue Course or either of the two Par 3 courses (The North and The South.)

The course also has a huge lighted driving range that is open late.
