Call me a snob, but I usually try to avoid buying anything with the word "economy" in the name. Look, I'm not rich, but just the same I like to invest a little more money on something of quality than a cheap piece of garbage.
With that in mind, let's take a look at this Golf Guard Economy Travel Bag. This is your basic hard shell golf travel case, roomy enough for your clubs and a few extras like shoes and towels. It has a couple of wheels for you to roll it from your car to the sky cab, and two handles -- one for rolling and the other for carrying.
The pluses of this bag are as follows: It's inexpensive. It's light. It's small enough to fit in your trunk, and has a one year warranty.
The cons are: The latches and handles are flimsy, and the plastic is cheap and not super durable.
I recommend this case for the traveler who is just going on a couple of trips a year and is not going to stress the heck out of this case. With light use, it should get your clubs from point A to point B safely and without any problems.
On the other hand, if you're an avid golfer who is going to be taking more than a couple trips a year with your precious cargo, don't buy this bag. Go for a higher quality hard case, or you could check out this super cool Sun Mountain ClubGlider Meridian Golf Travel Cover. It's a lightweight, soft-sided case that is easy to haul, but very durable and will protect your babies.
Listen, I'm not a snob, but if you've invested big bucks on your clubs, don't go scrimping when protecting them.
