Well if you did, you would know that George's futuristic flying car folds very handily into his briefcase. We are getting closer and closer to this technology with these fold-up push carts.

The Bag Boy Express Auto Push Cart has a one-step mechanism that enables the cart to fold up in one easy step. It folds up very compact to fit in even the smallest trunk. (Not quite as small as a briefcase.)

The cart when opened is a lightweight, three-wheeled sporty little thing. It can carry any size bag and is equipped with G-Force wheel technology. This technology enables the cart to hover above the ground like George's car.

I'm sorry -- that's not true.

The G-Force is a low profile, wide-contact wheel with a raised center tread. Thus you can drive this thing over any terrain. But of course you will only need to drive it in the fairway, right?

Finally, the cart has an adjustable handle to suit any height, a parking brake, a mesh storage bag, and a handy-dandy beverage holder.

The problem with me owning one of these remote control electric carts is that I'd want to play with it more then I'd want to play golf. I'd be driving the thing all over the golf course, delivering beers to my friends, trying to run over their golf bags, and just generally being a big clown.

Hopefully, if you are getting ready to purchase one of these, you are much more mature than I am. These are really great, especially for you folks that have back problems and can't handle the strain of pushing or carrying your clubs. Or perhaps you just like cool gadgets and want to impress your friends.

The Bag Boy 2009 Navigator 2 maintains a straight path even on the roughest of terrains. It needs no calibrations and has no trouble with interference from steel shafts or metal buildings. This newer model features a new soft braking with wider wheels, it's more compact when folded, has twin calibrated 140 watt motors, a 360 degree swivel front wheel with suspension, and handle-mounted controls with a remote control.

My favorite thing (other than the fact that I can harass my golfing buddies with it) is the removable seat with storage compartment. Not only will it drag your clubs around for you all day, but it provides a comfortable seat to take a load off your feet. This is the best tool for seniors who still enjoy walking the course.

Having this electric cart is the next best thing to having your own caddie. Heck, while you're at it, add the Sky Caddie SG5 Bonus Pack -- a golf GPS system that gives you exact yardages -- and you pretty much have a complete virtual caddie!

I've seen the hard shells and I've seen the soft sided. This concept attempts to marry both with a soft sided bag and a hard top.

I like the idea and what they're going after here. I really hate those bulky hard shell golf bags. Unfortunately they didn't build enough quality and durability into the bag.

The problem lies in the straps that connect to the hard top. They are connected by rivets. With heavy handling and wear, the rivets cut into the straps, and eventually they break. Don't buy this poor quality bag; instead check out the Sun Mountain ClubGlider Meridian Golf Travel Cover.

Sun Mountain is a great company who specializes in golf bags. This ClubGlider Meridian Cover is completely soft sided but extremely durable. Sun Mountain has reinforced all the straps with vinyl in all the heavy wear areas. You may pay a little more for this bag, but it will last a long time and protect your valuable investments.

Unfortunately, the T10 Hard Top/Soft Sided Travel Cover falls short. I think they have something here with the concept of a soft sided bag and a hard top. They just need to put a little more reinforcement in the straps.

Your personal caddie shows up at the golf course an hour before you do and prepares your clubs, marks off distances, and then carries your bag during your round. (You might think I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.)

All joking aside, if you don't have one of these push carts, do your back a favor and go get one. Not only will you feel better after your round, but you will save yourself strokes having more endurance to pull off that clutch shot on #18 with all the skins riding in the balance.

This particular cart, the Bag Boy Automatic, is your basic model. It has all your standard features: it has 3 wheels, is adjustable to almost all golf bags, and has a telescoping handle to adjust to your height.

What I don't like about it is the cheap plastic wheels. Plus I like a few more bells and whistles when it comes to my push cart.

Take a look at the Linksman Golf X-7 Golf Push Cart. Not only does it have real wheels, but the coolest thing is you can also fold it up while your bag is still on it.

Of course I don't really need any of these features, because my caddie handles all the loading and unloading.

I should mention here that my old golf buddy is actually 10 years younger than me and he is built like a freaking Green Bay Packer linebacker. Whoooo boy, did I give Nick some guff that day!

Of course we had always carried our bags on our backs like golf was designed to be played. After all, if your back is not aching by the time you hit the nineteenth hole and you're not all twisted up walking like The Hunchback of Notre Dame, well than you haven't really played 18 holes of golf. Right?

Alright, so after about a month of teasing Nick about his push cart, I went out and bought one too. He was beating me consistently which actually wasn't anything new. What got to me was the fact that he had enough energy to go hit balls and work on his game for another hour after our round.

This particular model is the Bag Boy Express 240. It's really sporty-looking and has all the bells and whistles. It's got the drink holder and the umbrella holder. It's adjustable to your height and has the Velcro straps, and you press one button to fold it up and throw it in your trunk.

I also found out pretty quick that when you're pushing your bag in a cart rather than carrying it, you can carry a few extra "luxury items." I won't say which ones specifically, but I would like to take this opportunity to give a shout out to my boys Anheuser and Busch.

It's all going to fit in the Bag Boy T-1000 Travel Cover. This bad boy is designed to hold all your extras. It even comes with a removable laundry bag.

The best thing about this golf bag is can handle my longest driver. It's time to end the painstaking ritual of taking ‘The Big Dog' out before packing the old travel bag. Boy, is my 51-incher going to be happy! Poor thing has been ostracized from all his friends for so long, rolling around in my trunk with the tire iron and jumper cables.

All of my kids are well protected, too, as the bag is padded more heavily than a linebacker, and the inside strap holds the bag securely in place.

The only drawback is: although there are four storage pockets on the inside of the bag, it has nothing accessible on the outside. It'd be nice to have an easy access pocket so that I can get to my flip flops, or ball cap, or a clean pair of socks without having to dig through the bag.

Other than that, the bag is a great way to protect your precious investment, and with two inline skate wheels for easy transport, go ahead and load it up. Kitchen sink is optional.

I wandered over to a group of cart bags that really caught my attention. They looked very different from bags that I had ever seen.

I stepped up to the Bag Boy NXO Revolver Cart Bag.

Now let me tell you something. I think gadgets are cool. I love those Brookstone-style stores that sell innovative products. I'm a sucker for those things -- even more than Nike. So this product really instilled a "wow" factor in me and fueled the "ooh I've got to get one of those" urge in me.

The most noticeable feature is in the top of the bag. The 14 full-length, separated slots not only keep your clubs safe and protected in their rubbery-snap-clip slots, but the entire top actually rotates. Er... revolves. Hence the name, I guess.

Cool gadget. That's right. If James Bond had a golf bag, this would be it.

The most obvious benefit to this is that you have easy access to any of your clubs from the back of your cart with a simple spin. No more racking your other clubs as you reach for the nine iron that shifted to the back. There are also "putter clips" which I actually had never seen on a bag (I guess it's been awhile since I shopped) and which I don't think I would actually use. Perhaps it would be beneficial for some of the newer putters that have grips that won't fit into the slots, or maybe a longer belly-putter.

It also boasted 12 pockets with 2 cooler pockets for your "shaken, not stirred" drink and a separate valuables pocket. The ball pocket was easily accessed; it had a rain hood included, and the strap had a very nice little "tuck-away" feature for when it's time to strap it into your cart. The model I looked at was a nice cream and light green, but there were several other colors available -- including a nice pink and black one for the ladies (or for a man confident enough in his masculinity to sport a pink bag.)

The price was similar to Nike's, but in this case I would have felt justified to spend it -- simply because of the "cool factor." Before I left, I noticed some badges that notated Bag Boy had garnered several awards including a Golfer's Choice award, a Golf Digest Gold Hot List Award, and a Golf Design and Innovation Award.

All because of a cool gadget. Money Penny, set me a tee time.
