It pains me to write this review on this sharp-looking Yankees baseball cap. The thing about the Yankees is: you either love them or hate them. There is no in between. And suffice to say, I'm not buying the hat. But you certainly can. Actually, you can get any sports team you want. If it were me, I'd get the World Champion (soon to be) Colorado Rockies.

This Titleist hat is a one-size-fits-all baseball style cap. It is a breathable, 100-percent cotton. The NY is embroidered big and bold on the right side of the cap. The Titleist in 3D is embroidered on the front. And in the back is a tuck-away adjustable strap that also has Titleist embroidered on it. Finally, it's blue so it should match your pin stripe Yankees jersey.

Shhh! Don't tell my golf buddies. These guys show up to our tee time wearing some crazy, ugly cotton socks. One guy who shall remain nameless rarely even bothers to match his socks. (Unfortunately he beats me regularly. D'oh!)

However, his feet aren't in nearly as good of shape as mine are at the end of the round. These Nike Dri-fit socks are great! They wick away moisture from your feet. The midfoot is snug, giving you extra support in the arch.

The best thing about these socks is the heel and toe is reinforced. This is essential for us golfers who push off of our toes and pivot around our heels.

I recommend these socks to all golfers. I can't overstate how important it is to take care of your feet in this sport. I always keep an extra pair of these in my bag as well, and will sometimes change my socks at the turn.

One thing to note about these socks is they are the "No show" ankle sock. Some of you may want a sock that comes up a little higher and protects your ankle from rubbing against those stiff golf shoes. No, this hat does not come with a phone number of a beautiful cocktail waitress (you have to get that on your own), nor is it reinforced like a batting helmet in case an angry model comes at you wielding a sand wedge.

What it does contain is a flex fit that fits most head sizes comfortably. It has the "VR" Victory Red emblem on the side, just like Tiger wears. The ONE logo on the right side, and of course the "TW" logo on the front that stands for Testosterone-filled Womanizer… Heyyyooooo.

Okay, enough of my David Letterman routine. It's a cool hat and is identical to the one Tiger wears. (Well, perhaps his is specifically sized for his head.) But other than that, nobody can tell the difference. Whether you're a fan or not, the hat will certainly be a conversation starter at your next round of golf. That is for sure.

These are cool pajamas, and of course by "cool" I mean really, really dorky. They should be worn only by the serious lounger and ultimate golf geek. In fact, to round out the outfit, make sure Dad has these golf slippers. You guessed it; these are bedroom slippers that look just like golf shoes… Oh dear, your poor, poor family.

Of course, when I think of Ashworth I think of another old guy, PGA Tour Pro Fred Couples. The man is the epitome of understated and non-flashy. This guy has always been a fan favorite because of his long, looping fluid swing and his laid back, "just another walk in the park" attitude. Fred is still going strong. 2010 is his first year on the Champions tour (and he's still one of the longest hitters on the PGA Tour). And Ashworth is still just as popular, now sponsoring Stuart Appleby, Chris DiMarco, Rich Beem, Jim Nantz, Rick Smith, Nick Watney, and Steve Flesch.

This hat is a simple solid color with Ashworth's well-known Golfman logo on the front. It comes in white, tan, black, and navy blue. I like the navy blue the best. The hat fits all sizes with the adjustable two-toned colored strap with a silver clasp. The underside of the hat is dark to reduce glare.

The hat is made with 100% cotton twill, which is fairly light and breathable. For a hat that is better for wearing on those hot muggy days, check out the Nike Feather Light Cap. This hat is incredibly lightweight and wicks sweat away from your head.

I like this Marmot Men's PreCip Rain Jacket because it folds up very compact and fits very easily in my golf bag.

If this jacket doesn't keep you dry, nothing will. It is 100-percent seam taped. The reason golfer are going to appreciate this jacket, besides the fact it fits in your bag, is it has a patented Angel-Wing Movement technology. This allows your arms full range of motion, which is obviously essential when swinging the golf club.

The jacket has zippered vents in the underarms and a hood that allows good visibility. Another cool feature that golfers will appreciate (but designed with backpackers in mind) is the slanted chest pockets. These allow access while still wearing your golf bag on your back. Thus, you don't have to set your bag down to go for that granola bar or tissue you have tucked in your shirt.

I would recommend this jacket for all golfers. If you live in a place where it rains frequently like I do, you should buy a full rain suit with pants. I like the Frogg Toggs Pro Action Classic Suit. This is also compact and will fit in your golf bag very nicely.

It's January, and you're golfing in the great Northwest. It's 39 degrees, and it hasn't stopped raining since November. Your shoes are caked in mud. Your lips are blue, and your golf bag is full of water. After putting out, your best golf buddy looks up at you sheepishly and asks if you want to continue. To which you reply, "Yah, let's go ahead and play the 2nd hole." Welcome to my world!

This Weather Company Rain suit is reasonably priced and will do the trick and keep you dry. It's made of 100% nylon. The rain jacket has a zipper with Velcro and a snap storm flap. It is vented so you don't sweat to death, and it has two hidden zipper pockets and two zippered front pockets to keep your tees and ball markers in.

The rain pants have a snap front closure with a zipper. The waist is secured with a draw string and an elastic back. They also have zippered pockets and have a mesh lining down to your knee.

This is a good rain suit, but I prefer the Frogg Toggs Pro Action Classic Suit better. The Frogg Toggs breathes better, and it's also more lightweight and folds up more compact.

If you're a mudder like me, then a little torrential downpour and gale force winds are simply a minor inconvenience. But you've got to be prepared and you have to have a good rain suit.

I really like this Frogg Toggs Pro Action Rain Suit. This is the tried and true original that outdoorsman have been wearing for years. You golfers are going to love it because it's very light and compact and will fit in your golf bag very easily.

In a good rain suit, I look for two main things: Of course I want it to keep me dry, but I also want it to breathe. It doesn't do me much good if the outside moisture stays out but I drown to death in my own sweat -- gross. This suit fits the bill as it is very breathable and comfortable.

In addition, the suit is not only waterproof, but it's windproof with a retractable hood. I also really like the pass-through pants pockets so I can still get to my green tool and ball marker.

One word to the wise: order one size up, thus you'll have enough room to put it on over your clothes.

These solid polos are made with Ashworth's EZ-Tech finish. I love these because they are very breathable, and the material wicks away sweat as I grind through my round. Other cool features are the open sleeve and the vents in the neckline. And of course, the best part of wearing Ashworth is the trendy Golfman Logo that looks like a pencil doodle drawing.

You can't go wrong with Ashworth, but for those real athletic types who are looking for the best in lightweight, breathable golf wear, I would recommend Nike's Dry Fit line. This is by far the best shirt for providing a shirt that breathes and moves with you when you swing the golf club. However, you won't look as good as Fred Couples.
